I began my career in film under the fine character textiles of costume design. Understanding the great influence on the complexity of the character through garments and their surroundings was the start of a deeply personal relationship with film.
After gaining a design degree at FEDISA in Cape Town I spent my foundational years designing for features and commercials. Within quick succession I transitioned to production designer in the fast paced commercial industry undergoing a rapid schooling of international service work for brand giants Pepsi Co, the Super Bowl and extensive work within the music industry.
In 2022 I ventured to the UK to sign with WPA creating work that has generated millions of views globally.
Salvable my debut feature film as a production designer with Toby Kebbell, Shia LaBeouf and James Cosmo looks at intense world building with great intricacy and details of a British working class period film (theatrical release due May 2025). This was a career highlight that paved the path to my second feature film in 2024. Detailing the personal world of ‘I Swear’; a narrative period drama documenting the inspiring life of John Davidson; a man with tourettes starring Robert Aramayo (Rings of Power).
Enlisting my curiosity and passion for human nature, lighting and construction calling for endless refinement in the process of film making. Focussing on set design, layered location sourcing, in depth character analysis and vigorous colour testing I am always striving for a highly considered and immersive picture.
I consider myself blessed to do what I love and share in the ever evolving team experience.
